The stray dog problem affects villages all over the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. This is due to lack of vet care as well as no animal shelters. Groups are working to fix this problem, but it’s no easy task as it’s almost impossible to spay and neuter every dog and there isn’t a place for every stray dog to go.
